Originally from Colombia, Claudia Molina is a passionate educator who embarked on a transformative journey when she decided to study at Future Skills.
With a degree in Social Communications and Journalism plus over 13 years’ experience working in various government roles, Claudia has always felt a calling to teach - particularly in the early childhood education setting.
Claudia says, “Before enrolling to study at Future Skills, I spent nearly a decade as a Spanish teacher.”
Despite her extensive background in communication, she recognised that she needed a more structured approach to her teaching aspirations. This motivated her to pursue a formal qualification in Early Childhood Education at Future Skills.
In 2023, Claudia enrolled in the Level 3 Early Childhood Education programme. Her desire to make a positive impact on children’s lives was the driving force behind that choice.
Claudia’s experience at Future Skills has been overwhelmingly positive.
“The supportive environment at Future Skills made it an ideal place for me to hone my skills and expand my knowledge base.”
The in-person Level 3 classes challenged her but also enriched her learning experience. Now enrolled in the Level 5 programme online, she faces new hurdles, particularly in time management and self-discipline. However, she is embracing these, knowing they contribute to her personal growth.
One of Claudia’s biggest challenges has been the language barrier. With English not being her native language, she initially struggled with confidence in speaking and writing.
“Thanks to the unwavering support of my teachers and classmates, I gradually overcame those fears and significantly improved my language skills.”
During her studies, Claudia has achieved several milestones that she is proud of.
“Overcoming the language challenges and receiving positive feedback from instructors all helped to boost my confidence.”
For Claudia another significant step in her teaching career was when she secured a position as a relief teacher.
Aside from becoming more confident and knowledgeable her experiences at Future Skills have ignited a strong desire to continue her education and professional development.
To those people considering Future Skills, Claudia offers her full encouragement.
“Don’t be afraid, there are no limits to dreams. And, with determination and dedication, we can all make those dreams a reality.”
Claudia is now aiming to secure a full-time teaching position while continuing her studies to obtain further qualifications. Her journey with Future Skills has not only equipped her with valuable skills but also instilled a deep sense of purpose in her educational pursuits.
