Māori blessing as new building opens
It was an early start for members of Future Skills who turned out to attend a morning Māori blessing of the organisation’s new building in Manukau.
Located in Earl Richardson Avenue, the purpose-built premises will be home to the activities of the youth campus which include the hospitality and kitchen manufacturing courses.
The approximately 1,500 sq m building features three classrooms and a trades training facility for hospitality (barista, cookery and baking) kitchen manufacturing and engineering courses.
Kaumāatua | elders from Tainua Waka – local mana whenua – carried out the blessing.
