The event provided international students with an opportunity to gain valuable industry insights, career advice, and professional connections from alumni who have successfully transitioned from study to the workforce. Key discussion topics included career goals, industry trends, personal branding, networking strategies, and work-life balance.

Students had the chance to connect with accomplished alumni mentors, including:

  • Kashmira More – Data and Information Records Specialist, Vector Limited
  • Sina Ramzi – Chief Engineer, JW Marriott Auckland
  • Oliver Jan Remigio – ICT Field Service Engineer, St John
  • Jacelyn Santiago – Human Resources Coordinator, Matrix Security Group
  • Kurt Salva – Risk and Compliance Manager, Westpac New Zealand

Our mentors, graduates of partner institute Otago Polytechnic, shared their experiences navigating the job market, highlighting the skills and strategies that helped them establish successful careers in New Zealand.

The event was an inspiring start to the year, offering students valuable mentorship and practical advice to help them succeed in their academic and career journeys. Those interested in connecting with AIC alumni mentors are encouraged to reach out and continue building meaningful professional relationships.
