Nishika has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura in Sri Lanka and a master’s degree in Business Administration in Information Technology from the University of Moratuwa in Sri Lanka. She is coming to the end of her PhD in Information Systems at AUT.
She worked as a Lecturer for more than 15 years at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and as a Teaching Assistant at AUT for more than four years. She has also worked as a Research Assistant at AUT.
Nishika’s research interests include digital transformation and its impacts on organisations, societies, and individuals.
She loves encouraging learners to enhance their knowledge, skills, and attitudes to achieve their goals, particularly by helping them apply the theoretical knowledge they’ve gained.
Outside of work she enjoys being involved with social groups including Toastmasters, as well as cooking, listening to music, and engaging in religious activities.
