Rovil Kumar is based at Manukau but occasionally works at our Royal Oak campus. He works on Information Technology projects, maintaining good security as well as supporting staff and students.
Before joining the academy, he was an IT Support Engineer at Fisher and Paykel Appliances where he supported and maintained systems, the network, and applications. He holds a master’s degree in information systems.
Rovil moved to Aotearoa in 2017 from Fiji. In his leisure time, he pursues interests in crypto, a collection of binary data designed to work as a medium of exchange, new technologies, fishing, cooking, and sports.
His goal for each learner is that they build a strong network and stay positive.
