Ade Niyamae holds a Bachelor of Education (Chemistry) and a Master of Education (Research) from the University of Auckland, specialising in Digital Pedagogy and Educational Change. She has also completed the Adobe Graphic Designer Professional Certificate (Coursera).
Ade started her career as a chemistry teacher in Indonesia. She also has experience in the edtech sector, particularly with Zenius Education. Most of her work has involved project-based collaborations with schools and universities, including government-funded projects through the Indonesian Ministry of Education.
More recently, Ade has been involved in an animation-based project with the University of Auckland’s Department of Chemical Sciences
Her research focuses on science education, digital learning, and cognitive resources. One of her recent publications is “Why learning redox is difficult even with animations – students’ adherence to cognitive resources”.
Ade’s goal for each learner’s journey is to create meaningful learning experiences that help learners develop a deep understanding, enabling them to transfer their knowledge and skills to different contexts.
Outside of work, she enjoys playing tennis and tries to play every week.
