This online event is an opportunity to learn about how artificial intelligence is enhancing the learning process and complementing the skills of software developers.
Ganeshan has extensive experience teaching at universities and polytechnics in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and the USA. His postgraduate project and thesis in 1984 were titled Artificial Intelligence Applied to Machine Health Monitoring. Over the last four decades, Ganeshan has published several papers on AI and the uses of AI. He uses and encourages his students and colleagues to use, the latest tools and techniques as far as practicable. His innovative approach to teaching has already helped around a hundred students, many of whom had no prior experience in computing, develop dynamic web apps with databases in a matter of weeks, studying part-time. Now he uses ChatGPT to make learning software development even easier and more fun.
Farhad is the Head of Department for Information Technology and a Principal Lecturer at Future Skills Academy and Otago-Polytechnic Auckland International Campus. Farhad is a research and development expert with over 20 years of experience. His expertise spans many important areas of IT including internet-of-things, AI, data analytics, cybersecurity, and cloud computing. Farhad has led or participated in several industrial multi-disciplinary projects in different countries including Japan and New Zealand.
