MyRepsoft is an Auckland-based company specialising in innovative finance and accounting software solutions. Their co-founder recently visited campus and interviewed five of our top applicants for an internship with MyRepsoft, sponsored by Kallahan Innovation.

Charith Nimalchandra was selected for the Audit and Compliance Lead position because he demonstrated strong technical skills, confidence, and clear communication that the role demands.

In this role, he leads the implementation of the Information Security Management System, leveraging his extensive finance and compliance background alongside his computer science foundation.

Charith is a Chartered Management Accountant with a Bachelor of Computer Science from the University of Colombo. He has over 20 years of experience across finance, accounting, business process outsourcing, and compliance in Sri Lanka, India, the United Kingdom, and the UAE.

Prior to relocating to New Zealand, he served as the Financial Controller at The Overseas School of Colombo, with end-to-end responsibility for finance, accounting, audit, and regulatory compliance.

Now a month into the internship, Charith has received very positive feedback from MyRepsoft on his performance to date.

The Master of Applied Management student is grateful for the guidance and coordination of AIC’s Employability Team in helping him to secure the internship.

“This role represents a meaningful opportunity made possible through the support and recommendations of the AIC Employability Team,” he says.
