Students share research at Study Block 2 forum

Students presented their work at the Study Block 2 Research Forum yesterday, showcasing projects focused on digital transformation, artificial intelligence, banking, and business automation.

The forum gave staff and students the opportunity to hear research findings and discuss emerging issues affecting organisations in New Zealand and internationally.

Topics explored included sustainable banking practices, AI tools in workplaces, predictive analytics for SMEs, and the role of change management in digital transformation projects.

The presenters and their projects were:

  • Chathurika Alwis – Advancing sustainable banking in New Zealand: a technology-driven framework for enhancing sustainability in New Zealand banking operations and customer services.
  • Manoj Khare – A systematic investigation of challenges and motivation for adopting digital transformation among small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in New Zealand.
  • Malki Maduka Harischandra – Exploring the impact of AI tools on productivity, task efficiency, and work-related wellbeing among IT professionals in New Zealand.
  • Udaya Sujith Perera – AI-driven predictive analytics for financial decision-making in New Zealand SMEs.
  • Sharanga Karunarathne – Examining the impact of organisational change management factors on digital transformation project success in New Zealand banks.
  • Geetanjali Joshi – Business process optimisation through automation for accounting functions in New Zealand SMEs.
